Open to Qualified Physicians in Any Specialty

United Physicians of Arizona was conceived as an inclusive group that would give physicians a voice in medicine. We are open to qualified physicians in any specialty who meet these criteria:

  • You must be committed to improving the provision of healthcare to our patients.
  • You must be either board-certified by your respective specialty board within 5 years of completion of training, or board-eligible within that timeframe.
  • You must be interested in cooperating with fellow physicians.

The legal requirements of membership include the following:

  • You must conduct 75% of your medical practice through UPA, billing under the UPA tax ID number.
  • You must pay your employees under the UPA payroll service. (UPA currently uses ADP.)
  • You must provide employee benefits to your employees under the UPA benefits plan. (UPA currently uses ADP.)
  • For all revenue generated through UPA, you must use the UPA retirement plan (if you choose to participate).
